One Material - Multiple incarnations

Radisson Blu Hotel - Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia

Inspired by the Balinese craftsmanship, the design concept for this project is driven by the main idea of using few materials but having multiple uses for each other.

The rough exterior - batu kali (that is a local stone) becomes the elegant lontar (dried palm leaf used as writing paper) wall in the accommodation room.
